1.Overall
objective:students will be able to
learn the new vocabulary “animals”and the different kinds of them.
2.Language Objective:Students will be
able to use the words and learn where do they live.[Students will be able to
use the new animal words and the environment where they live.]
3.Civic Education Objective:Students will
be able to write and read and say the words correctly.

Student-centred in the lesson: I read a poem to the students and show pictures
of animals on flashcards and pictures from a textbook.I repeat the poem and
students listen”I see the an alligator.”I show the pictures of an alligator on
the poster.Then “I see the a lion.”I show a picture of a lion and so on. (10 minutes.)

Activity 1. After reading the poem,I draw a mind-map on the board
and elicit from the children the names of animals.Afterwards,student read the
text and circle the names of animals and fill in the crossword puzzle. (7
minutes.)

Activity 2. I distribut a copy of this poem to pairs of students
ahead of the class.Then as I read the the poem,I ask students to underline the
words of animals as they hear them. (5 minutes.)

Activity 3.I have downloaded pictures in my computer and I show
them to my students with slide show. I
give a chart with the columns:In the forest or woods/in the jungle/on the farm.Students
work in pairs and fill in the chart and everyone has a chance to write
something. Then they write the animals names in the different categories on the
board: ”in the wood,in the house, and in the jungle.” (7 minutes.)

Activity 4. The students come and find the written word and match
with the picture. They are divided into several groups.I hand out the pictures
of several animals to each of the group of students.Students look at the
pictures and put them in columns In the jungle/in the house and In the wood.
(10 minutes.)

Activity 5. I have prepared the self-assessment questionnaires
with 3 points.
